A Day at the Beach
It was a hot summer morning, and the Garcia family decided to go to the beach. Emma was very excited because she loved the sea.
They packed a big bag with towels, sandwiches, and a bright blue bucket. Emma's father drove the car, and they sang songs all the way.
When they arrived, the beach was beautiful. The sand was warm and golden, and the water was blue and calm. Emma ran straight to the sea and put her feet in the cold water.
"Be careful!" said her mother. "Don't go too far."
Emma and her little brother built a big sandcastle. They used the bucket to make tall towers. A wave came and broke one tower, but they just laughed and built it again.
At lunch time, everyone was hungry. They ate their sandwiches under a big umbrella, away from the hot sun. The food tasted wonderful after all that play.
In the afternoon, Emma's father taught her to float on her back. At first she was afraid, but soon she could do it. She felt like she was flying on the water.
When the sun went down, the family was tired but happy. Their skin was a little sunburnt, and there was sand in their shoes.
On the way home, Emma fell asleep in the car. She dreamed of the sea, the sand, and the best day of the summer.
