My First Train Trip

Last summer, I went on my first long train trip to visit my aunt in the mountains.

I was a little nervous because I never travelled alone before. My mother came with me to the station. She gave me a big bag with food and a map. "Call me when you arrive," she said.

The station was very busy. There were many people, and the noise was loud. I found my train and got on. I sat next to the window because I wanted to see everything.

Then the train started to move. First, we passed houses and tall buildings. After that, we saw green fields and small farms. I was so excited that I could not stop looking outside.

A kind old woman sat next to me. She offered me some cake and we talked for an hour. She told me about her village in the mountains. The time passed quickly because she was so friendly.

In the afternoon, the train went into a long, dark tunnel. For a moment, everything was black. Then we came out, and I saw the high mountains. They were beautiful, with white snow on the top.

When the train arrived, my aunt was waiting for me. She waved and smiled. I was so happy to see her.

That night, I called my mother and told her about my day. "It was the best trip of my life," I said.

Now I am not afraid to travel alone. I am going to take many more train trips next year.
